Agile Testing

 What is Agile Testing?

Agile methodology followed in project management that strives to unite teams around the principles of collaboration, flexibility, simplicity, transparency, and responsiveness to feedback throughout the entire process of developing a new program or product.  In simple words, Agile software development is a group of software development methods in which requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing, cross-functional teams and agile testing generally means the practice of testing software for bugs or performance issues within the context of an agile workflow.
Agile, as its name suggests, simply proposes to be a faster, more priority & risk focused, and more flexible, adaptable, and efficient way of conducting the complicated business of software production.  And, of course, it is not without its critics.

When this model is followed?
  • Agile model is followed when the requirements are not clear.
  • It is followed when there is rapid changes.

This is the model followed in today's world. It is well suited for the changing requirements of the client.

Stand-up meeting in agile model:

stand-up meeting (or simply "stand-up") is a meeting with attendees typically standing. The discomfort of standing for long periods is intended to keep the meetings short.

Scrum-style daily stand-ups involve asking and answering three questions. Though it may not be practical to limit all discussion to these three questions, the goal is to stick as closely as possible to these questions:
  1. What did I accomplish yesterday?
  2. What will I do today?
  3. What obstacles are impeding my progress?
The meeting usually takes place at the same time and place every working day. All team members are encouraged to attend, but the meetings are not postponed if some of the team members are not present.  Team members may sometimes ask for short clarifications and make brief statements, such as "Let's talk about this more after the meeting", but the stand-up does not usually consist of full-fledged discussions.
